Reasons Why Content Marketing is More Efficient than Link Building

When it comes to SEO, there are two factors that are extremely important. Those factors are content marketing and link building. However, some people may ask “Which one is more efficient?” or “Which one should I focus more on?” Of course, it doesn’t hurt to include both factors into your SEO, but I’ve always been more of a content person from my experience. I truly think that content marketing is what search engines are really looking for in your website more than links. After all, that’s what people on Internet are looking for anyways. Here are some reasons why content marketing is more efficient than link building.

Content marketing is natural

Social-MediaBasically, your job is to write great content for people who are looking for it. Once they take in account that your content is highly interesting and unique they will naturally generate links for you. Most likely, they will generate them through their own blogs or social media like Twitter or FaceBook. It all starts with high quality content.

Easier to determine value in your content than links

How do you know the value of your links on your website? Of course, the links are contributing to your search ranking, but it’s extremely hard to determine the value of the links because there’s just so many.

However, content marketing is a whole different situation. Once you write a great piece of content, it is easier to determine the value of it. Such factors contribute to the value such as: social votes, visits, links generated, and how much organic traffic it created. These factors will give you a better understand of what your content is actually worth and help you decide if you need to make any changes to enhance the quality.

Content writers are less expensive than link builders

This is extremely important if you’re on a tight budget. It is hard in this market to hire a good SEO Consultant such as link buildings to provide you with efficiency. Some aren’t experienced enough and are quite expensive. However, there are plenty of content writers who are willing to lend you hand for a small fee to get you started with plenty of content articles to make your site even more attractive. I highly recommend you check out because for only $5.00 you can find someone to write or spin your content for cheap!

Definitely more entertaining

Looking at a bunch of excel spreadsheets that contain plenty of links may be straining for your eyes and mind. And the thought of spending hours submitting them to directories are a pain in the rear end. Instead, why not share a bit of your knowledge and write creative and interesting content for the rest of world? It’s much more fun than a excel spreadsheet, that’s for sure. Best of all, Google loves content! Who doesn’t?

You do have a good point there. Google sure loves content. I still think it’s a good idea to do a little bit of both content marketing/link building to balance it all out!

Jason, You are right about that. At the same time it all depends what type of niche business you got going on. I’ve had to focus more on link building for my other sites. Thanks for reading keep in touch
